Don't Try This At Home!

PV = nRT

Boyle's Law - The relationship between pressure and volume ~ is what I am told as to why this happened.

Blah, Blah, all I know is that I DO NOT recommend leaving a beer in the freezer.

My husband can quote Boyle's Law but can explain why a bottle of beer explodes when left in the freezer.

Anyone? Anyone?

I think it has something to do with the carbonation and all the gases inside the bottle.
Kind of like how the pressure escapes a bottle of soft drink when you open it, but the pressure is amplified when its in the freezer, causing it to explode.

The same things happened to me with a glass bottle of mineral water.

But i'm no scientist :P So this is just a guess
